kevin's family weekend

What a fun weekend we had. We went to go play with Kevin's family. First we went and played at the beach for the day. It was a really nice day. At first Noah was afraid, but then he got brave and had a blast. He loved rubbing his hair in the sand and throwing it... in the water, in the sand, at his dad, at his cousins. He was covered in sand when we were done- which means we had a lot of fun. 

The next day we took the kids and ran a bunch of errands. By the time we were done the kids were hot (it was 90) and the needed to get their wiggles out. So we played in the sprinklers. Kevin and his dad built the birthday plane but it broke on its first flight. Bummer. 

Finally the big day. Abby's shower. It was a lot of fun and worth the whole trip. I made the fruit display which was a lot of fun. 

Noah Loves to Jump

Noah no longer wants to be in his crib. He has fallen out trying to get out a few times, so we are in the process of getting him a new bed. He does love to jump though. He will do it all day if you let him and he gets pretty high for such a little guy!

Noah's First Bike

Noah got his first bike this weekend. His birthday was just too far away to wait to get a bike. This way he can go to the park in style everyday. Mom can steer in the back as noah hasnt figured out the pedaling thing just yet. He can do it backwards though! I think everything he does, he does backwards first. It should make for a very fun childhood!

The Reactor

Well, I finally got to fly again and had my friend Ryan do the honors of taking a video. He did a good job although our camera isnt the best for videos. It still came out decent, we will have to take some with a better camera later so we can really get some good shots. Oh, a few pics of my office are on here to as I am now working out of my house until we get some office space!

Crazy Noah!!!

Noah woke up from his nap and we thought these were some good pics. He has been so cranky, and he took a long nap and I guess his hair just decided to stand straight up. It looked even better when I got him up!

Noah at the Zoo

Today Noah and Mia(his friend) went to the zoo. They loved the dump truck and fake alligator. The animals.... not a big hit. 

Noah likes to add a little zip to his life.  The act of walking anywhere is just to boring for him. He like to jump, hop and skip to what ever destination he is headed to. His dad is also very determined to teach Noah what he feels are the most important words in the English language. :) 

One of Noah and Alix's favorite past times is taking videos. Noah likes to then re watch them on the camera or computer. He likes to imitate what he is doing in the videos. 

Noah's Growing Up

We havent had a chance to update the blog in a while. We both have been gone it seems every weekend and in opposite places. Noah was talking to my parents on the phone and they realized how much he had grown up, so we though we would add a video so you can see little Noah talking and dancing.

Noah is talking like crazy. He seems to pick up tons of new words every day. They were in Utah for the weekend and he came back saying all sorts of new things. His favorite movies are Nemo and Cars. He says "memo" and he says "kichao" for cars. No idea how to spell that but that is what lightning McQueen says all the time. He would watch them all day long if we let him, so it's a battle at times. He is growing up fast and he looks like a little boy now.

Easter 2008

Our Easter weekend was filled with lots of fun filled/crazy events. It all started with Alix getting sick. She thought she just had a zit or something on her face. She woke up the next morning and her lip was numb and swollen. She thought she would wait to go to the doctor, but it was obvious she needed to see one. We saw a doctor that was a friend of the family in Napa and he got her on some antibiotics, but the next morning it was worse so she went in. The doctor didn't really do much and sent Alix home. Friday morning the swelling had reached her eye and in Alix's words, "I look like a freak." So, she couldnt get into the doctor as they said there were no appointments, but she went down and forced her way in. They sent her to the hospital where they did tests, but couldnt confirm that she had MRSA so they just lanced it, gave her shots, more drugs, and sent her home. We wont know until Monday if it is MRSA, if it is, she is probably going to the hospital for a day or so to get drugged up. That is probably what will happen. For the meantime she is trying to put on a happy face for Easter, but she is in pain so we do the best to try to ease the pain

Even though all of this is going on, we still decided to do Easter. Saturday morning some friends in Napa have their annual easter egg hunt so we went over there. There are some pics and vids of Noah of that. After that, we came back and did Easter with Alix's family in the afternoon. Noah searched for his eggs and found his cars inside the eggs. Noah got some books and lots of candy for easter. Doesnt really like the candy actually. He will start to eat it and then spit it out, so we have lots of chocolate stains and hand prints everywhere. All in all, it has been a great Easter weekend so far and we just hope our luck can improve with our health. Happy Easter everyone!

Funny Noah

Here are some fun pics of Noah we took tonight and over the last few days. He was eating pasta and wiping the sauce on Mom and in his hair. We went to Uncle John's swim meet. Besides the speedos, we had a good time. Noah really liked the goggles and he kept wanting to put them on. He also kept trying to go after John, but one time he couldnt tell which one was John and all of the guys had speedos on. We will just say Noah chose wrong and pinched someone on the butt. Luckily, it was a friend of the fam.
